Alumnus around the world are known to play vital roles in the development and growth of the institutions and colleges they have passed through. They do these in form of a pay back to the institutions the pass through. The Kaduna Polytechnic alumnus is not an exception. The alumnus comprises of respectable and influential members of the society, both in government and in the private sector.
The alumnus hold meetings at intervals in all quarters of the year. In such meetings pressing needs and problems of the institution are discussed and addressed. Goodwill amongst alumni has been tremendous, as they see each other as brothers and sisters ignoring ethnic, religious and political backgrounds. The goodwill that connects the alumni can be likened to the spider's web. No wonder the alumni is known as the Spiders, i.e. expressing the beauty and creativity in peaceful cohabitation. The alumnus stretches through the length and breath of the nation. The institution has produced graduates from all geo-political zones of the country Nigeria. Members of "The Spiders" include Gen. AbdulSalami Abubakar (Nigeria's former Head of State), Hajiya Titi Abubakar (Wife of Nigeria's vice President), Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu (Governor of Nasarawa state, Nigeria), Chief Joshua Dariye (Governor of Plateau state, Nigeria), Alhaji Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso (Nigeria's Minister of Defence), and Dr. Danjuma Isah (Rector, Kaduna Polytechnic). Every graduate of this good and reputable institution is an alumnus and shall be treated as one.
